Review
by Kozo:

Legendary Category III sex-horror flick which earns points for bizarre creativity and sheer chutzpah. Ellen Chan stars as the harried girlfriend of impotent Chan Kwok-Bong, who became so after a trip to Thailand (I hear this is common for visitors to Thailand). It turns out that Chan was cursed by evil warlock Ben Ng, who wants to get back at Chan and his three buddies (including TVB star Bobby AuYeung and the legendary Tsui Kam-Kong) for accidentally doing his sister. His revenge involves curses that get the job done in creatively disgusting ways (one guy is cursed into eating his own arm down to the bone). Ben is also interested in Ellen Chan and plots to rape her in grand fashion. Thankfully, Ellen has witch Lily Chung to help her out.

Unrepentantly sleazy, this over-the-top exercise from director Chin Man-Kei (Sex and Zen 2) can be entertaining in a bizarre, anything-goes fashion. Out-there plot devices and makeup effects (at one point, Tsui Kam-Kong literally becomes a "dickhead") add to the extreme weirdness, which can certainly be diverting to some. Like most Category III crap, you could never call Eternal Evil of Asia a good film, but it's bizarre sensibilities, amusingly energetic direction and eager-to-please trashiness make this primo stuff for fans of the genre. To be honest, I usually don't like this stuff. But hey, I watched it, didn't I? (Kozo 1997)
