Yet
another horror-comedy, this average exercise is occasionally
redeemed by some decent direction. Athena Chu is Jojo, a budding
medium who channels the dead Pinky Cheung. She died when evil
bastards burnt her and her son to death because of her triad
husband (Eric Wan). Meanwhile, Jojo's family provides the
comedy relief and cop Chin Kar-Lok lusts after Jojo. Average
as all hell. The last ten minutes of this film prove interesting
but the first thirty are an absolute snooze-fest. Watch
only if you're a massive Athena Chu fan or you simply must
see every Hong Kong horror-comedy ever. (Kozo 1998) |
