Cheap-as-hell thriller/drama that has some interesting ideas,
but also a poor script and shoddy direction. Ada Choi is a
woman on death row who was raped by the sadistic Anthony Wong.
She only married him to procure money for boyfriend Michael
Tse, but Anthony betrays them both and has his way with her.
It turns out that Mike is just as scummy, and Ada is left
to the wolves - who are more than happy to consume her. Only
Chan Ji-Peng as her barrister will help her. Sadly, he can't
help the movie, which is a choppy melodrama with no truly
interesting features. Ada Choi is an actress with promise,
but she ends up starring in shoddy cut-rate productions instead
of better fare. Her quality work seems to be in supporting
roles, i.e. Once Upon a Time in Triad Society 2 or
The Golden Girls. Her TV work is popular, however.
