The Skinny: Fandom sings the praises of this twisted and hilarious erotic thriller that's so over the top that viewing it with a straight face is impossible. Probably one of the ten movies every Hong Kong Cinema fan has seen.
Review
by Kozo:
Hugely popular erotic thriller from the mind of HK’s tackiest auteur, Wong Jing. Kitty (Chingmy Yau) is a beautiful but deadly woman who spends her time beating up guys she doesn’t like. Things reach a breaking point when Ken Lo offs her dad, so she walks into his office building and slaughters everyone. Saved from certain death by assassin Sister Cindy (Svenwara Madoka), she’s told that she’s a natural at the killing biz and becomes Cindy’s apprentice.
Enter impotent cop Tinam (Simon Yam), who investigates Kitty but soon can't get her out of his mind. Making matters worse is lesbian super-assassin Princess (Carrie Ng). Princess offs men by shooting them in the crotch and drags around a moll named Baby (Kelly) who she has sex with now and then. Basically everyone wants everyone else dead, with the exception of Kitty, who just wants Princess to take a hike. Then there's lots of violence and the movie ends.
I used to dislike this film, but now I find it enjoyable; the over-the-top violence is fun, and some of the sick humor is dead-on. This is one of those supremely twisted times at the movies where everything is just so completely off that you're either going to be totally disgusted or absolutely entertained. It’s also more Wong Jing indulgence, but Clarence Fok knows his action, and the whole film is a hoot, if not for the kids. (Kozo 1995/1997)
