An
athlete turned model and actor, Ken Wong Hap-Hei was born
on February 4, 1967. This former Prince of the Hong Kong
Windsurfing Team made his film debut in Downtown Torpedoes
(1997), for which he was nominated for a Best New Artist
Hong Kong Film Award. Since then, the majority of the
movies he’s appeared in have been low budget and action
films, like Sunshine Cops (1999), Return to
Dark (2000) and Sharp Guns (2001). The most
notable entry in his filmography is probably Slow Fade
(2000), a stylish experimental film that, despite receiving
mixed reviews at home (a member of the HK Film Critics
Society said it was a waste of his time), has been shown
and critically lauded at various film festivals worldwide.
