Review
by Kozo:
Hong Kong sex comedy that goes so over-the-top that it echoes the silliness of There’s Something About Mary - the U.S. Wong Jing wannabe. Sadly, The Three Lusketeers deviates from such rarefied air with leering shots of topless women and poor acting from Filipino locals.
Our three heroes (Simon Lui, Ng Chi-Hung and Lai Yiu-Cheung) visit the Philippines to wrestle one hundred million bucks from the former lover of Simon Lui’s dad, played by Christine Ng. Her price: Simon has to marry her daughter, who’s also his half-sister. Lai Yiu-Cheung clocks in as a gay man who lusts after Ng Chi-Hung.
Take my word for it - it gets worse. That said, the audacity that these actors display is admirable, if only because they have the guts to appear in this stuff. Sadly, this film is crap, though it does get inspired at moments. Gigi Lai is barely in this film, so don’t get your hopes up. Some screwed up stuff definitely happens in this movie. If that's your bag, then go for it. (Kozo 1998)
